Hajra is a student at the Institute of Accountancy Arusha pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science. She is the founder of Let Her Free, an organization that aims to provide youths with sex education training. Her journey into technology began in 2017 when she joined Apps and Girls and was mentored, as well as seeing opportunities and utilizing technology to address various societal issues. She was one of the Tanzanian students chosen to compete in the First Global Robotics Competitions, which were held in Mexico in 2018 and Dubai in 2019.
Hajra currently works at Apps and Girls as a coding and robotics trainer in Arusha and Kilimanjaro Coding Clubs, where as a trainer she has been able to train over 1000 students and inspire them to pursue a career in the ICT sector. Hajra is passionate about using technology to solve societal problems, and she continues to inspire and empower other young people to do the same.
